About Organisation

The founders of Tie-Dye Drama met in 2010 whilst studying drama at The University of Manchester. During their final year they facilitated drama workshops with arts charities, including The Men's Room and TiPP (Theatre in Prisons and Probation). The workshop spaces highlighted the potential in using drama as a tool for empowerment. It was these incredibly poignant experiences that inspired the creation of Tie-Dye Drama.

Just like tie-dye patterns Tie-Dye Drama sessions are bold, vibrant, and unique. No two Tie-Dye Drama workshops are ever the same.
Tie-Dye Drama’s first projects took place in Sri Lanka, working alongside the charities Tea Leaf Vision and Child Action Lanka.
The 4 founders created tie-dye shirts to wear as their uniforms for the work.
