YOUNG HAMMERSMITH AND FULHAM FOUNDATION (YoungH&F)
Young Hammersmith & Fulham Foundation (Young H&F) was founded in 2017 and receives funding from John Lyon’s Charity and City Bridge Trust. Young People’s Foundations (YPFs) were set up in 2016 because children’s and young people’s services were presented with new challenges that would impact on the wellbeing of children and young people.
Through additional funding from the London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham (LBHF), YHFF was formed and is the local Membership charity that supports children’s and young people’s services in the borough. Our Membership is open to everyone that works with children and young people aged 0-25. This includes youth clubs, charities, schools, businesses, voluntary groups, and the public sector.
Our Vision is for a happier, healthier, and safer place by building a better system of children and young people’s services in Hammersmith and Fulham.
This will be done by improving partnerships and coordination between services, increasing funding and resources for organisations and by providing a ‘go to’ for high-quality information for Members, Partners, and the public. We will do this by:
•improving relationships, collaboration, and coordination between Members & Partners
•increasing funds and resources for delivery to young people
•providing high-quality information and research How will Young H&F achieve its aims?
•We will produce on-going insight into the current and evolving views of young people to widen the appreciation of young people.
•We will raise funds for our membership to provide high-quality opportunities to address the wants and needs of young people.
•We will actively introduce and support organisations to work together, through visits, networking, and joint funding bids, resulting in an improved experience for children and young people Young H&F would like a young person who is over the age of 16 years, to sit on our board to help us focus on the views of young people, and to make sure we are really listening to the young people of the borough and to bring fresh new ideas. We want to ensure that the direction of Young H&F is young person focused.
We will offer a young person a one-year volunteering opportunity to gain experience and skills in understanding how charities work. That young person will discover more about children’s and young people services and the voluntary sector, and how Young H&F brings together lots of different services, with the aim of achieving the best outcomes for children and young people in London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham.
We want to give young people the opportunity to build their skills and experience which in turn will put them in a better place to be the leaders of charities in the future.

Working with a roster of the best architects, designers, and engineers, we find imaginative ways to improve and extend our properties. We are delighted to win awards for high quality design: but the true test is in the way our buildings are used and that they attract great tenants.
