What
Mahaba Café aims to provide meaningful training and employment opportunities for young people with special education needs and disabilities (SEND) in Ealing, where only 2.2% of adults with SEND are employed (compared with a national average of 5.4%).
Mahaba Café was established to address this gap by an experienced team of directors and advisors qualified in leading charities, teaching, designing SEND and employment programmes and running coffee shops.
Currently hosted in the Ealing Project, our café is open 5 days a week and staffed by young people with SEND. Our referral partners include local schools and disability rights organisations.
Our primary beneficiaries are young people with special educational needs aged 16-25 (although we accept beneficiaries up to age 30).
Training programme is FREE of cost. Young people are referred through our partners.
Our opening hours are 12 - 2.45pm Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri & 10.45am to 2.45pm on Wed@ Ealing Project. We will be closed on 15 and 16 of February and during Easter holidays.
The place is open to anyone that wants to have a coffee or a drink, enjoy some nice chill time in a vibrant place. We will be at the Ealing Project until end of March and are hoping to move to our next location after that.
